Keswick, England - the Lake District

The Lake District is the "holiday" location for those escaping the busy and hectic environment of London.  It has beautiful glens, valleys, mountains, and lakes.  The area is about 30 miles long and 30 miles wide (and some really narrow roads, one land at times ... but always beautiful surroundings).  The north Lake District is less touristy ... and we stayed in the Keswick, which is a delightful little town with easy walking distance to the lake, trails, and town square.  We ate at a couple of pubs ... and the food was terrific.  William Wordsworth embraced the area and his many poems speak of the beauty of the Lake District.
