Out and about in Scotland

The Scottish countryside is surprisingly green and wooded.  We had expected more of a treeless bog look, especially in the highlands.  We travelled from Edinburg to Inverness in the rain and passed through Cairngorms National Park.  This is where Balmoral Castle is located.  The royal family still "goes on holiday" to Balmoral Castle.  We didn't get any pictures of this area because it was raining hard.

When we left Inverness we drove through the highlands and past the great Loch Ness.

Normally, Farrow Deer are normally found in England but we came across this herd along the road in Scotland.

As we passed by the great Loch Ness, we looked out for Nessie, the Loch Ness monster but couldn't find her anywhere.

We passed through Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and discovered this waterfall.

As we journeyed south to our destination of Stranraer, we came across this beautiful point along the North Channel and stopped for photos.

Jelly fish were everywhere!
